| Katherine B. Young is
a representational painter in oil and
watercolor. She is an avid hiker, and her
favorite subjects are landscapes, seascapes
and florals. Her paintings attempt to capture
the sense of beauty, peacefulness, awe, and
connectedness that she feels when outdoors.
She believes that the artist plays an
important role in today’s society. Many
people are caught up in the drama and pace
of hectic modern life, and viewing a
beautiful painting can give one time to
breathe, relax, and remember that it is
important to take time to enjoy the world
that nature has given us. She hopes that you
